Meet our Lead Tutor

Mr Tim Rowland, BA (Hons) Perf. Arts (act)

Tim pursued what he learnt through his childhood days of performing alongside friends at the local theatre youth group, to train at Sir Paul McCartneys’ Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) and has worked as a professional performer, writer and director ever since.

He earnt his fully qualified teacher (QTS) status at Sussex University and has been an experienced Performing Arts teacher, leading children’s and adult’s drama groups (online and in-person) for more than 20 years.

As well as being lead tutor for Málaga Drama Collective, Tim wears many hats as a director, production manager, casting director, lighting, music and stage planner, entertainer, props and set creator, actor and costume designer. But above all, when it comes to our members, he has a fantastic ability to connect with individuals and clearly understand what could best help them in developing empathy, self-confidence and communication skills.

Over the years, Tim has written a number of stage productions, taught at public and private educational establishments in England and has trained numerous enthusiastic mature actors on a 1-2-1 basis.

From Shakespeare to latest productions from stages in London (UK), Tim has brought wonder and exuberance to audiences of all ages through live theatre productions of beloved stories and modern scripts, such as:

The essentials
Health and safety is of course a concern for all parents, so please rest assured that Tim is officially insured and certified to work with children in Spain and is CRB / DBS checked in England. The fully insured venues that we work with provide safe and clean environments in which your child’s talent can shine, and Public Liability Insurance is in place.
